Read the Bible free online — no sign-in, no cost, and nothing to install. The BibleCourier online Bible reader is built for blind and visually impaired readers: it works with your screen reader (JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver) and your keyboard, and it can read the Scriptures aloud on its own for anyone who prefers to listen.
Move through the Bible by book, chapter, verse, and word; follow the section headings above each passage; have a single verse or a whole passage read aloud; search the entire Bible for any word or phrase; and bookmark the verses you want to return to. Your place and bookmarks are saved privately in your own browser — there is no account and no tracking.
Twelve public-domain translations are included and open to everyone, in three languages. In English: the King James Version (KJV), the King James Version with Apocrypha, the American Standard Version (ASV), the Bible in Basic English (BBE), the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), the Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV), the Douay-Rheims Bible, the Darby Translation, the World English Bible (WEB), and the JPS Tanakh 1917 (a Jewish translation of the Old Testament). In Spanish: the Reina-Valera 1909. In German: the Luther Bibel 1912. Two classic commentaries — Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary and the Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary — are built in as well. New to the reader? See how to use it.
We’re always improving the reader, and we’d love to hear from you. If there’s a feature you’d like to see, or a Bible translation, commentary, or other resource you’d like us to add, please let us know — your requests and suggestions help us make the reader better for everyone.
